Flowers: August-October.  Plant in part shade.  HxS 10x30cm

Cyclamen are tuberous perennials with rounded, sometimes angular, leaves which are often attractively mottled. The nodding flowers have 5 reflexed and twisted petals and are pink with darker  pinky-red markings at the base of the petals.  Flowers are occasionally fragrant.  The species gets its name from the ivy-shaped leaves which are often patterned with silvery-green.  The flowers often appear before or with the unfurling leaves in early August and the leaves persist through all but the hardest winters, before dormancy in early spring.  Valuable late season colour and winter interest.  Low growing and dry shade tolerant once established.

    Care & Maintenance.

Generally pest and disease resistant.  Propagate from seed or leave it to do its own thing, where colonies will form over a number of years.
