Flowers: April-July & September. Plant in sun/part shade. HxS 45x60cm
The flowers on this unique geranium are a rich pink however it is the chocolate-brown leaves that distinguish this new cultivar of a North American species. It has a good upright habit, is pest and disease free and repeat flowering if cut back after the first flush. We find it grows well in a moist soil with some protection from full summer sun. We laugh when we see this labelled after the coffee! (expresso – no espresso)
Care and Maintenance.
The plants try to remain evergreen, due to their American origins, but the first hard frost does knock them back. Cut the foliage to the ground in early spring. Propagate by division in spring. We have found it does produce seed but the offspring are not always as richly coloured.
