Flowers: June-August. Plant in sun or part shade. HxS 70x30cm
The bulbs are stoloniferous and for newly planted bulbs, the shoot will often come up some distance from the planting spot! Solitary, pendant flowers, coloured pale green with a sumptious purple throat. The flowers are generally unscented during daylight hours and heavily scented after dark. Grows best in a well drained soil. Organically grown in a peat free compost
Care & Maintenance.
If your soil is very wet during the winter, as it is here in West Wales, it is best to lift the bulb and grow in an unheated greenhouse or coldframe, or treat it like a Dahlia. Detach the bulbils to propagate.
