Much larger bracts on a flatter head than Astrantia major, this hybrid forms a neat, rounded dome and has pink tipped flowers over a long period. Considered the longest flowering of all the Astrantia family, it prefers a moist but well drained soil. The leaves are dark green and deeply cut. Wildlife friendly and rabbit resistant! Organically grown in peat free compost. Pot size 1.5 litre. Hardiness zone H7.
Care & Maintenance
Dead head regularly to maintain flowering and remove any seedlings. Cut back hard in late autumn or early spring. To propagate, divide well established clumps in early spring as growth commences.
