Flowers: June-July. Plant in sun or part shade. HxS 60x30cm
This primula species has stiff, vertical stems with whorls of wine-red flowers, held in tiers above a cluster of light green leaves. The stems are often covered in farina and the species is later flowering so helps to extend the season. This plant does need a really boggy soil to do well and enjoys a neutral to acid soil. Organically grown in peat free compost and rpoduced on 9cm or 1.5 litre pots. Hardiness zone H7.
Care & Maintenance.
Lift and divide in periods of wet weather or grow from seed, which should be planted fresh and not stored.
