Flowers: May-October. Plant in sun or part shade. HxS 45cmx1m
The macrorrhizum family are superb ground cover plants in both sun and dry shade, being drought tolerant. The leaves are sticky and aromatic, smelling of sweetbriar and give brilliant autumn colour. ‘Bevan’s Variety’ is a old but very reliable hybrid which can be grown in most soils. This form has deep magenta flowers and red sepals. The evergreen leaves are a bonus as they make good ground cover and bulk up quickly. A great pollinator plant, organically grown in peat free compost.
Care & Maintenance.
This cranesbill is very easy to manage. Remove old overwintered leaves in spring, tidying up any damaged by winter weather. Propagate by division in spring. Pest and disease resistant.
