Flowers: Arpil-May.  Plant in part shade or woodland.  HxS 40x30cm

If you have seen Trillium sessile in a garden it is more likely that you have been looking at this trillium.  The flowers are dark red-brown and stemless (sessile) and the leaves are brown- mottled.  A striking plant which is easy and reliable in woodland conditions or under deciduous trees where it enjoys a rich moist soil.  All our Trilliums come with a care sheet.  Organically grown in peat free compost.

    Care & Maintenance.

The wood lilies need good leafy soil, in part shade conditions, under deciduous trees or shrubs. They are from North America and usually very hardy but can be prone to slug and snail damage as they emerge in late spring.
