Flowers: July-September. Plant in moist part shade. HxS 1mx75cm
This beautiful, late flowering Meadow Rue enjoys a cool, moist soil and is peat tolerant, although just as happy in neutral or alkaline soil. The petaloid stamens give the lilac-purple flowers a double-flowered effect and they resemble airy clouds of Gypsophila in August. The foliage is rue-like and compact emerging in early spring from the rhizotomous rootstock. Every woodland garden should have one! This is a slow-growing plant and often takes a year to become established. Please order early or late as they are difficult to transport in full flower. AGM. Hardiness rating H7
Care & Maintenance.
