Flowers: March-June. Plant in part shade. HxS 20x20cm
The Alpine Snowbell has evergreen heart shaped or round leaves which are light green in spring and darker later. It produces masses of frilly-edged purple-blue flowers. Soldanella can be a bit of a challenge but we find ‘Spring Symphony’ grows well, without fuss and this hybrid is easier than the true species. The plant prefers a free-draining, humus-rich soil, in dappled shade. It does enjoy moisture and is very hardy. Organically grown in peat free compost. Pot size 1 litre.
Care & Maintenance
