Flowers: June-August. Plant in part shade. HxS 1mx75cm
The common name of Gooseneck is very apt for the flowering stems which are elegant, slender, arching spikes of white flowers, held above a bushy clump of dark green leaves. The flowers are borne all summer on a plant which spreads, but not invasively. The leaves turn a gorgeous bright red in autumn before the plant dies completely back. A mecca for butterflies by day and moths at night. Place in part shade. Dry shade tolerant once established. Pot size 1.5 litre.
Care & Maintenance.
Cut back to the ground in autumn or early spring. Propagate by collecting seed or from softwood cuttings in June (from non-flowering stems if you can find them!)
