Flowers: April-May. Plant in part shade or woodland. HxS 45x45cm
This is a lovely epimedium forms dense clumps of glossy leaves, on short stems. The flower stems hold masses of yellow flowers with brown-yellow spurs, held well clear of the foliage in spring. Best when grown in a moist, humus-rich soil and evergreen with us. Choice ground cover for dry shade or woodland conditions. Very hardy, pest and disease resistant.
Care & Maintenance.
Cut down the overwintering foliage early in the spring, before the new flowers appear, otherwise you will have the new season’s growth coming through the old. Spring is also the best time to divide the plants. Full sun has a tendency to scorch the leaves, so avoid it when planting.
