Flowers: April-June. Plant in full shade. HxS 20x30cm
A fascinating plant with peculiar brown flowers with long tails which look like mice disappearing into the ground! The spear shaped, glossy green leaves form a good dense groundcover and keeps young children occupied for hours finding and counting the mice! Easy to grow in most soils and dry shade tolerant once established. It does go dormant in late summer, which is a good time to propagate it. Organically grown in peat free compost. Pot size 1.5 litre.
Care & Maintenance.
Remove old leaves in late summer or early autumn, after dormancy. Propagate by careful division of the tubers in spring or autumn when they are fresh and plump.
