Flowers: April-July. Plant in part shade. 15x15cm
A striking species of Cobra lily, with a prominent white spadix, (looking just like a mushroom) and a green and brown spathe over mottled, digitate leaves. It is fully hardy, preferring a moist leafy soil in part shade to perform well. The unique appearance usually means it sells on sight! It flowers well from small tubers and slowly bulks up. Pest and disease resistant, it is a choice selection for the woodland garden. From Japan. Organically grown in peat free compost.
Care & Maintenance.
Plant deep, at least 20cm (8ins) and it will reward you by flowering every year. Collect seed before it goes dormant in late summer or early autumn. This Arisaema does not produce tuberlets, but seed germinates readily.
