Native of the eastern USA and the only species in its genus. Lovely rue-like foliage and masses of white or pink flowers in spring and early summer. Flowers for a long period. Slow growing and ideal for the woodland border or under planting of shrubs. Also suitable for a shady rock garden. Moist soil preferred. Hardiness H6. Pot size 9cm.
Care and maintenance.
Propagate by seed and sow as soon as ripe or divide in early spring.
