Flowers: June-August. Plant in sun. HxS 60x60cm
This daylily has deep gold and red, trumpet shaped flowers with a yellow mid-rib and greeny throat. It is similar to Hemerocallis ‘Frans Hals’, but without the orange mid-rib and has much softer colours. The compact foliage is semi-evergreen and it has a reliable flowering habit in moist soil, where it thrives. Organically grown in peat free compost.
Care & Maintenance.
Clear the old foliage in late autumn, winter or early spring as the new shoots of Hemerocallis are amongst the first to appear in spring. The clumps are easily split as they start to come through. Many Hemerocallis set seed, but only the species plants will come true. Clumps should be split every four or five years so they maintain vigour.
