Does Not Flower. Plant in part or full shade. HxS 45x45cm
Fortune’s Holly Fern is the hardiest of the Japanese Holly Ferns and we have found it to survive to -10C. It is a good choice for a shady spot in a colder garden. The grey-green fronds add a soft look to the shade garden during spring and summer, turning yellow as autumn commences but remaining semi-evergreen throughout the winter. The plant has a rounded, but more prostrate habit than Cyrtomium falcatum. It prefers a moist, but not soggy, location and looks unlike any fern you have seen before, with the frond reminiscent of holly leaves. Organically grown in peat free compost. AGM. Pot size 1.5 litre.
Care & Maintenance.
Cut down old fronds in late winter or early spring. Divide established clumps in spring.
These are available for ordering now with delivery in March/April.
